Lord Ardalen is a Kyralian magician who goes into war with the Sachakans, accompanied by his apprentice Mikken. He joins the group at the same time as Lord Prinan, Lord Bolvin and Lord Sudin, with their apprentices.

Power Sharing skills During the war against Sachaka, Lord Ardalen taught Lord Dakon and other magicians a skill that his master and a friend had discovered. This trick consists of one magician or apprentice putting his hand over the shoulder of another apprentice or magician and transferring unshaped magic into him. If a magician receives this magic he or she can save it for later usage. However if an apprentice receives the magic they won't be able to keep it because they haven't accomplished Higher Magic. Lord Ardalen's Mission During the Sachakan invasion to Kyralia, and after teaching his power sharing skills to the other magicians and apprentices, Lord Ardalen leaves with Mikken, heading to the Corres Fort in order to recover it from the rule of the Sachakan invaders. Lord Ardalen's Death Some days later after the departure of Lord Ardalen, the rest of magicians and apprentices receive a mental call from Mikken, stating that his master had been brutally assassinated by a group of Sachakans staying at the Corres Fort. Later Mikken joins back with the group near the town of Lonner in Noven Ley.
