Chavori is a Sachakan man, who is a map maker. He travels around different countries, taking measurements to help him draw up accurate maps. Chavori is described as socially awkward, but intelligent and brave. His family dismiss him, as they don't like his career and because he will not marry.

Spoilers from "The Magician's Apprentice"

Chavori shares his maps with his friend Kachiro and Stara. He explains how he creates them, which is a different technique to nearly all map makers. His maps showed places where very few people had ever explored, as they didn't know they existed. Chavori is killed when the Kyralians invade Arvice. Kachiro finds his body, and burns him in the Sachakan tradition. Stara finds him and realises that Kachiro was in love with Chavori.
