Gol is a large man who is only a few years older than Cery. He is Cery's second, and stays close at hand to act as a bodyguard. When in public and not wanting their true identities known, they pretend to be father and son.

Gol helps Cery by locating Anyi and managing to get her to talk to Cery. When Anyi decided to become Cery's second bodyguard, she practiced knife duels with Gol. He also disapproves of roet users, which is why he distrusts Kallen. Gol helped in planning the capture of the Thief Hunter. |

Gol, Anyi and Cery moved into the rooms under the Guild after they were ambushed in one of the houses where they were hiding from Skellin. Gol was badly wounded after a battle in the house and was healed with magic by Lilia. He suggested to buy minefire and set a trap in case Skellin showed up, but when he did, the trap failed as the minefire was too wet. Skellin wounded Gol before kidnapping and leaving with Anyi. He watching Cery die from a heart-attack, and grieved for him. Later, with Rothen's help, Gol planned a way to rescue Anyi from Skellin, which succeeded. At the end Anyi named Gol her second after she accepted to become a Thief and rule her father's territory. |
