Gret is an old warrior and the Talm of the Correl Clan, in Dunway. Gret lives in a fortress, located in the top of a hill. His bloodline was disappearing, as few male heirs were being produced. Gret's only male heir had been killed in a training accident, and he had nominated the son of his granddaughter as the succesor. He had been married before, but his wife, Tia, passed away. Gret likes to let people have their privacy, and he will not intervene in his people's businesses, unless they break the law.

Gret oversees the village of Dram, but he did nothing when he discovered there were Pentadrians, as he thought they weren't a threat. Later, when Ellareen and Danjin discovered the Pentadrian settlers, they asked Gret to take the villagers to Chon, where they would be judged for failing to report the presence of their enemies. Gret accompanied the villagers in their way to Chon, but he wasn't trialed, even though he should have investigated further, before Ellareen came.
