It started when several Sachakan Ichani attacked Kyralia in hopes of conquest. Nothing in the Guild grounds was destroyed, but the Inner Circle was left in ruins and the slums also were damaged. The Guild lost nearly half of their magicians, including Akkarin, Lorlen, and Yikmo. It started with Kariko and his allies attacking the Fort in the mountainous border between Kyralia and Sachaka. However Parika came through the South Pass where he attacked Akkarin, Sonea, and Dorrien. Lord Makin contacts Lorlen as the Ichani start attacking the Fort and projects the image of the Ichani out to magicians. After the first gate falls, the Ichani entered the Fort and Makin and the other warriors go to meet them. The Ichani breach the inner door, and the magicians retaliate by attacking them from below a false floor. As that door is slowly breached, they retreat further to a wall which half blocks the corridor, and move it fully across. As the Ichani blast the wall down, more magicians fall and they finally enter Kyralia. Makin is presumably killed shortly after, as the projections stop. A new projection is then sent out from Makin, Fergun had been found by Avala and is killed. Kariko tells them through Makin's projections that if they welcome them he won't kill some of them. Makin is then killed. During this attack nineteen magicians are killed, fortunately two managed to escape. The Ichani, after reaching Imardin, ultimately die by the actions of Akkarin, Sonea, and the city's Thieves and slum-dwellers, in addition to the Magicians' Guild. |

Due to the Guild learning that all magicians can overhear mental communication, it has been banned from use. However it is still taught to magicians. |
