Kendaria is a kyralian woman, she is one of Avaria's friends, she is Avaria's only friend who did not posess magical abilities. She is married to a wealthy magician, who is cousin to king Errik. She is also a member of the Healer's Guild of Kyralia. She invites Tessia to a dissection, she agreed and Tessia met many healers, some of them knew her grandfather. They both saw the whole dissection and Kendaria learned that, as Tessia was used to seeing corpses and injuries, this experience had not frightened her as would usually happen to a girl her age.
