Kuerres is a Thinker. He is quiet, and he is not known for exaggerating things, nor for lying. Reivan says he had not been mean to her, but he hadn't paid much attention to her either. He likes to collect exotic animals.

Kuerres went to the Pentadrian Sanctuary to report a crime to Reivan. He told her that he had gone to a wealthy man's house to treat a sick creature. What he discovered was that the creature was actually an Elai, that was dying. Kuerres tried to bring it back to return it to the sea, but he couldn't. Thanks to Kuerres intervention, Reivan and Imenja rescued the Elai, who happened to be Imi, the Elai princess.
