Merin is the current King of Kyralia. He carried on the tradition of the Purge from his father - King Terrel, much to the slum dwellers distaste and is said to be young. His House bears the mullook and so it has become a royal symbol, and he also wears the royal pendant - an enormous gold half moon. He has green eyes.
Merin stays behind when he knew of the Ichani Invasion, he stands up to the Ichani invaders and tells them to leave, then when the fighting begins he found a safe place to hide. He ends up in the tunnels beneath his city owned by the Thieves.
