Auraya looked at the Siyee priest, Teel. He did not wear the circ as it hampered flying, but instead wore a smaller circle of White cloth around his throat. In her opinion, he had been prematurely ordained. He was inexperienced and had less grasp of magic tan the common initiate.

Teel is a Priest Siyee who lives in the Open. He is described as arrogant and Auraya dislikes him over the rest of the Siyee. He is the first Siyee to become a priest, but Auraya thinks that he lacks experience and magic in order to be a priest.

Teel was one of the Siyee who went to Klaff to kill the birds Genza used in the war, accompanied by Auraya. He was given the task of reporting to Juran. When the Siyee were captured by Nekaun, Teel was taken to the Pentadrian Sanctuary, and imprisoned in a chamber. As the Siyee were released day by day, Teel was supposed to leave last, but was intentionally poisoned to lure Auraya to the chamber. During Auraya's imprisonment, Chaia used Teel's body to talk to her. However when he left, Teel died.
