The Tombs of White Tears is an old burial chamber, found in Vin. To get there you must take a small boat from Kiko Town, which only departs during nights of full moon. These tombs are often visited by the descendants of the people buried there. Some of the tombs there were so old that there are no relatives left to visit the people buried there. The entrances of the tombs are guarded and people can only pass once they have spoken the ritual.

As part of Dannyl’s quest for ancient magic, Tayend and Dannyl visited the Tombs of White Tears. They followed a group of mourners that were visiting their dead relatives, but they continued way up the cliffs when the group turned and went into one of the most recent tombs. Dannyl found a small crack and at Tayend's urging, examined it closer. After finding some unrecognisable symbols, he sent a globe light in. Tayend noticed that the walls in the corridors of the cliff side were covered with paintings. After some time of walking through the passages which were getting smaller, they entered a chamber which was as wide as the Guildhall. It was also full of white spires and curtains. The stalactites and stalagmites joined forming the appearance of a mouth full of teeth. Tayend recalled it being named the “Mouth of Death.” Deeper inside they found even more tombs until they reached a wall with a small hole in it. Dannyl sent a globe light in and saw a carved coffin inside. Later Tayend reviewed what the coffin said; "This woman was fair and honourable. She protected the islands with high magic". It was accompanied by the glyph meaning high magic - A figure kneeling before a woman, the woman's hands extended to touch the knelt figure's upraised palms. |
