Lord Yikmo is a Warrior in the Guild who is originally from Vin. He has the respect of both Akkarin and Balkan due to his teaching methods.

He becomes Sonea's teacher when she becomes the High Lord's Favourite. Yikmo was chosen because of his teaching style to find out a person's weakness and try to overcome it. He helps her train for her dual with Regin and is concerned for her well being when he finds Regin and other novices attacking her in the University. He holds a high respect for Sonea.

Yikmo applies to be a spy that goes to Sachaka but doesn't get chosen. Instead goes to Calia with others to slow down the Ichani. He and Rothen blast at the servant carts which angers Kariko who retaliates and Yikmo believes Rothen died in the attack. He manages to report than all the magicians had died at Calia. He was the last magician to die at Calia, as Rothen finds his body.
